R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Samantha Link has provided indispensable support in |
|
|
the office of State Representative Rob Orr during the 83rd |
|
|
Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A participant in the McClendon Legislative Scholars |
|
|
Program, Ms. Link is working toward her bachelor's degree in |
|
|
business management, with a minor in legal studies, at The |
|
|
University of Texas at San Antonio; she expects to graduate in |
|
|
December 2013 and plans to go to law school and to eventually pursue |
|
|
a career in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Navy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Link has made the Dean's List and the |
|
|
President's List at UTSA, and she has been a member of the UTSA |
|
|
Honors College, the Summer Law School Preparation Academy of the |
|
|
UTSA Institute for Law and Public Affairs, and the National Society |
|
|
of Collegiate Scholars, which presented her with a scholarship and |
|
|
a legal reasoning certificate; her extracurricular activities |
|
|
include service as the sergeant at arms for the Roadrunner Rotary |
|
|
and as a crew captain for Mobile Loaves and Fishes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Performing her duties in Representative Orr's |
|
|
office with skill and dedication, Samantha Link has greatly |
|
|
benefited the constituents of House District 58, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Samantha Link for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Rob Orr |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and a |
|
|
bright future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Link as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
