R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Nicole Edgar is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
the senior class of Atascocita High School in Humble on May 25, |
|
2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, |
|
Ms. Edgar demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of |
|
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to |
|
her studies are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Edgar holds membership in the National Honor |
|
Society and served as an officer for two years, and she also acted |
|
as vice president of the National Charity League; in addition to her |
|
impressive academic achievements, she was a member of the Forte! |
|
Show Choir, Madrigal Singers, and Latin Club, as well as a varsity |
|
cheerleader; she plans on attending business school at The |
|
University of Texas at Austin and would like to enroll in law school |
|
after obtaining her bachelor's degree; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents John and Michelle |
|
Edgar, Nicole Edgar has earned the respect and admiration of her |
|
teachers and classmates at Atascocita High School, and her |
|
exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to |
|
excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this |
|
remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nicole Edgar, salutatorian of the |
|
Atascocita High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Edgar as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
