R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Nicole Edgar is graduating as the salutatorian of
  the senior class of Atascocita High School in Humble on May 25,
  2013; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction,
  Ms. Edgar demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
  subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to
  her studies are myriad; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Edgar holds membership in the National Honor
  Society and served as an officer for two years, and she also acted
  as vice president of the National Charity League; in addition to her
  impressive academic achievements, she was a member of the Forte!
  Show Choir, Madrigal Singers, and Latin Club, as well as a varsity
  cheerleader; she plans on attending business school at The
  University of Texas at Austin and would like to enroll in law school
  after obtaining her bachelor's degree; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents John and Michelle
  Edgar, Nicole Edgar has earned the respect and admiration of her
  teachers and classmates at Atascocita High School, and her
  exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to
  excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this
  remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Nicole Edgar, salutatorian of the
  Atascocita High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting
  chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Edgar as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
