R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The community of Boerne lost an admired friend and |
|
leader with the death of Richard Ethridge on January 17, 2013, at |
|
the age of 55; and |
|
WHEREAS, Rich Ethridge was born in Santa Ana, California, on |
|
October 30, 1957, to George and Dorothy Ethridge; a 30-year |
|
resident of Boerne, he served as president of the Boerne Shrine Club |
|
and as chair of the Advisory Council of the Texas Hill Country |
|
Chapter, Order of DeMolay, and he was a member of the Kendall |
|
Masonic Lodge No. 897; in addition, he was a dedicated congregant |
|
of the Kendall County Cowboy Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ethridge found a life partner in his wife, Pam, |
|
with whom he shared 32 years and was blessed with two sons, Michael |
|
and Garrett; and |
|
WHEREAS, Rich Ethridge treasured the time he spent in the |
|
company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind will |
|
in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring man; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Richard Ethridge and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Pam Ethridge; to his sons, Michael and Garrett Ethridge; to his |
|
mother-in-law, Ginny Chance; to his sister-in-law, Vicki Martinez; |
|
to his brother-in-law, Jack Chance; and to his other relatives and |
|
many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Richard |
|
Ethridge. |
