R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Bill Tipton has long distinguished himself through |
|
|
his dedicated service to the Mineola community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chair emeritus of the Main Street Board of |
|
|
Directors, Mr. Tipton oversaw countless public improvement |
|
|
projects during his notable 19-year tenure as head of the |
|
|
organization; he has further contributed to the Mineola Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce and the Main Street Design and Review Committee, and he |
|
|
coordinated the logistics for a variety of revitalization |
|
|
activities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Tipton is an outgoing man who not only devoted |
|
|
his own time but also enlisted many friends to assist with his |
|
|
latest community development enterprises; recognized for his |
|
|
exceptional efforts, he was celebrated by his fellow residents on |
|
|
April 21, 2013, which was proclaimed "Bill Tipton Day" in honor of |
|
|
his faithful and generous service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The citizens of Mineola have greatly benefited from |
|
|
Bill Tipton's civic involvement, and he may take justifiable pride |
|
|
in his ongoing contributions to the town he is proud to call home; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Bill Tipton for his service to the city |
|
|
of Mineola and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Tipton as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
