R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Felicia Juarez of Weslaco East High School has been
  named a Youth of the Year in the Head of the Class program overseen
  by the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the U.S. Border Patrol; and
         WHEREAS, The Head of the Class program recognizes outstanding
  seniors at 57 high schools in the Rio Grande Valley every month;
  just three students are chosen as Youths of the Year annually; and
         WHEREAS, A leader among her peers, Ms. Juarez has been
  offered full scholarships to a number of institutions of higher
  learning, including Baylor University, the University of Richmond
  in Virginia, Wesleyan University in Connecticut, and Johns Hopkins
  University in Maryland; after her selection is made, she plans to
  devote her college studies to a major in biology or physics; and
         WHEREAS, Felicia Juarez can reflect with pride on her
  academic record and history of achievement, and she may indeed look
  with anticipation toward a promising future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Felicia Juarez on her selection as
  a 2013 Youth of the Year by the U.S. Border Patrol and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Juarez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
