R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Andrea Valdez is graduating as the valedictorian of |
|
|
the 2013 senior class at Dr. M. L. Garza-Gonzalez Charter School; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Valdez has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorite being |
|
|
English; in addition, she participated in numerous extracurricular |
|
|
activities, including the student council; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Christina Ornelas, Ms. Valdez plans |
|
|
to continue her education at Del Mar College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Andrea Valdez has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at |
|
|
Dr. M. L. Garza-Gonzalez Charter School, and her exceptional |
|
|
scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have |
|
|
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young |
|
|
Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Andrea Valdez, valedictorian of |
|
|
the Dr. M. L. Garza-Gonzalez Charter School Class of 2013, and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Valdez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
