R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the Sunset Advisory Commission staff
  provided vital assistance to the 83rd Texas Legislature in its
  consideration of Senate Bill 202, the Texas Commission on the Arts
  sunset bill; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1977, the Sunset Advisory Commission
  periodically reviews the policies and programs of more than 150
  government agencies, with the goal of identifying and eliminating
  waste, duplication, and inefficiency; in addition to questioning
  the need for each agency, it considers innovative changes that
  might improve operations and activities; and
         WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Sunset Commission agency
  director Ken Levine, team members responsible for review of the
  Texas Commission on the Arts include Emily Johnson, project
  manager, Faye Rencher, analyst, Ginny McKay, supervisor, and Janet
  Wood, administrative staff; they each demonstrated the utmost
  professionalism in connection with the consideration of S.B. 202,
  and their extraordinary thoroughness, expertise, and willingness
  to be available at all hours were invaluable during the
  legislature's deliberations; and
         WHEREAS, These praiseworthy members of the Sunset Advisory
  Commission staff uphold high standards of public service, and
  through their exceptional skill and dedication, they have
  contributed immeasurably to the efficiency and accountability of
  state government; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the Sunset Advisory Commission staff
  members on the Texas Commission on the Arts sunset team for their
  outstanding work and extend to them sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the commission staff as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
