R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, John Sneed, executive director of the State
  Preservation Board, provided able assistance to the 83rd Texas
  Legislature in its consideration of Senate Bill 201, the State
  Preservation Board sunset bill; and
         WHEREAS, The Sunset Advisory Commission reviews the policies
  and programs of government agencies every 12 years, with the goal of
  identifying and eliminating waste, duplication, and inefficiency;
  in the course of the sunset review of the State Preservation Board,
  John Sneed contributed greatly to the success of the review team
  through his commitment to the timely provision of pertinent
  information and his skilled leadership of his staff; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Sneed demonstrated the utmost professionalism
  in connection with the consideration of S.B. 201, and it is indeed
  fitting to recognize his dedicated efforts in this regard; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend executive director John Sneed for his
  outstanding work relating to the sunset review of the State
  Preservation Board and extend to him sincere gratitude for his
  noteworthy endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Sneed as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
