R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Molly Riddell, a recent graduate of Bushland High |
|
|
School, distinguished herself in University Interscholastic League |
|
|
state academic and athletic competitions in 2012; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A senior at the time, Ms. Riddell placed second in |
|
|
the UIL 2A Ready Writing contest at the spring academic meet, |
|
|
competing in a field that included students from more than 240 Texas |
|
|
schools; she was a standout on the girls' wrestling team as well, |
|
|
helping her team win the 2012 district title and advancing to the |
|
|
state wrestling tournament, where she finished fourth in her weight |
|
|
class; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To perform at the highest level in statewide |
|
|
competition requires not only skill and talent but also exceptional |
|
|
dedication, and Ms. Riddell may reflect with pride on these notable |
|
|
achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Molly Riddell on her performances |
|
|
in the 2012 University Interscholastic League Ready Writing and |
|
|
girls' wrestling contests and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Riddell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
