R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The boys' cross-country team from Boys Ranch High |
|
|
School turned in a fine performance to finish in fifth place among |
|
|
the 2A schools participating in the University Interscholastic |
|
|
League State Championships, held on November 10, 2012, in Round |
|
|
Rock; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Roughriders recorded a cumulative time of 1 |
|
|
hour, 29 minutes, 13.29 seconds, with an average individual time of |
|
|
17 minutes, 50.66 seconds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Boys Ranch High School's outstanding showing was the |
|
|
result of a superb team effort; the Roughriders were paced by Jacob |
|
|
Myers, who finished the course in 17 minutes, 22.16 seconds, and he |
|
|
was followed by Devon Razo, Andrew Pacino, Donald Sedigas, Justice |
|
|
Barnes, Anthony Carrasco, and Alex Wittmer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The success attained by the Boys Ranch cross-country |
|
|
runners is a testament to their hard work and commitment to |
|
|
excellence, and they may reflect with pride on their notable |
|
|
achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Boys Ranch High School boys' |
|
|
cross-country team on its fifth-place finish among the 2A |
|
|
competitors at the 2012 UIL State Championships and extend to the |
|
|
runners and coaching staff sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
