R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The boys' cross-country team from Boys Ranch High
  School turned in a fine performance to finish in fifth place among
  the 2A schools participating in the University Interscholastic
  League State Championships, held on November 10, 2012, in Round
  Rock; and
         WHEREAS, The Roughriders recorded a cumulative time of 1
  hour, 29 minutes, 13.29 seconds, with an average individual time of
  17 minutes, 50.66 seconds; and
         WHEREAS, Boys Ranch High School's outstanding showing was the
  result of a superb team effort; the Roughriders were paced by Jacob
  Myers, who finished the course in 17 minutes, 22.16 seconds, and he
  was followed by Devon Razo, Andrew Pacino, Donald Sedigas, Justice
  Barnes, Anthony Carrasco, and Alex Wittmer; and
         WHEREAS, The success attained by the Boys Ranch cross-country
  runners is a testament to their hard work and commitment to
  excellence, and they may reflect with pride on their notable
  achievement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Boys Ranch High School boys'
  cross-country team on its fifth-place finish among the 2A
  competitors at the 2012 UIL State Championships and extend to the
  runners and coaching staff sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
