R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mieola Easter is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
|
the Humble High School Class of 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, Ms. |
|
|
Easter demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of |
|
|
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to |
|
|
her studies are myriad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Outside of the classroom, Ms. Easter has |
|
|
participated in the National Honor Society, the student council, |
|
|
and the Humble choir; she has served as the class historian and as a |
|
|
Wildcatdet military officer, and she has further distinguished |
|
|
herself by achieving the rank of black belt in martial arts; awarded |
|
|
the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship, she plans to study |
|
|
political science at The University of Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Mallina and Dennis |
|
|
Easter, Mieola Easter has earned the respect and admiration of her |
|
|
teachers and classmates at Humble High School, and her exceptional |
|
|
scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have |
|
|
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young |
|
|
Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mieola Easter, salutatorian of the |
|
|
Humble High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Easter as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
