R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, For nearly 15 years, LaFayette Moses-Wilkins has
  represented her fellow citizens as a member of the Dallas Area Rapid
  Transit Board of Directors; and
         WHEREAS, Appointed to the position in 1999 by the city
  councils of Plano and Farmers Branch, Faye Moses-Wilkins served as
  vice chair of the board in 2011 and currently serves as its
  secretary; in addition, she is chair of the Rail Program Committee
  and serves on other DART committees addressing bylaws, the rail
  corridor, planning issues, economic opportunity and diversity, and
  transit oriented development; and
         WHEREAS, This accomplished Texan previously owned and
  managed a real estate company and now is president of The Wilkins
  Group, a minority, woman-owned, national telecommunications
  installation firm based in Richardson; she is a member of numerous
  professional organizations, including the National Association of
  Women Business Owners, the National Association of Female
  Executives, and the Richardson Telecom Corridor's Technology
  Business Council, and she has given back to her community as a
  member of the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County; and
         WHEREAS, DART is dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and
  effective public transportation within Dallas and beyond, and Faye
  Moses-Wilkins is indeed deserving of recognition for her
  contributions to this vital effort; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend LaFayette Moses-Wilkins for her
  exemplary service as a member of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Board
  of Directors and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Moses-Wilkins as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
