R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, No words can adequately express the heartache felt |
|
|
at the tragic loss of Nicholas Rey Hernandez of Uvalde, who passed |
|
|
away on March 15, 2013, at the age of 19; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio on December 3, 1993, to Maria |
|
|
Estrada and Dennis Hernandez, Nicholas Hernandez grew up in Uvalde; |
|
|
he graduated from Uvalde High School in 2012, and he was enrolled at |
|
|
Southwest Texas Junior College at the time of his death; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An excellent athlete, Mr. Hernandez played baseball |
|
|
and football; in all his endeavors, he was supported by a caring |
|
|
family, and he enjoyed an especially warm and fun-loving |
|
|
relationship with his six brothers and sisters; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Nicholas Hernandez had a kind nature and a generous |
|
|
spirit that endeared him to countless others; although the loss of |
|
|
such a promising young life brings immeasurable sorrow, those who |
|
|
were fortunate enough to know him will always carry him close to |
|
|
their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Nicholas Rey |
|
|
Hernandez and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: |
|
|
to his parents, Dennis and Mary Hernandez; to his sisters, Samantha |
|
|
Hernandez, Denise Hernandez, and Kristina Rodriguez; to his |
|
|
brothers, Dennis Hernandez, Jr., and his wife, Allisa, Poncho |
|
|
Moncada and his wife, Danielle Gonzalez, and Brandin Hernandez; to |
|
|
his grandparents, Cesar and Angela Hernandez and Gilbert and |
|
|
Teodora Rodriguez; to his nephew, Ethan Hernandez; to his niece, |
|
|
Farah Madison Moncada; and to his other relatives and many friends; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nicholas |
|
|
Hernandez. |
