R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Karla Alvarado is graduating as the valedictorian of |
|
|
the Class of 2013 at Trimble Technical High School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, Ms. |
|
|
Alvarado demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of |
|
|
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to |
|
|
her studies are myriad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to her achievements in the classroom, |
|
|
Ms. Alvarado has participated in her school's National Honor |
|
|
Society, Health Occupation Students of America, and the Spanish |
|
|
Club. She also volunteered within the Fort Worth Public Library |
|
|
System. Ms. Alvarado enjoys running, singing, playing the flute, |
|
|
and collecting one dollar coins; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Antonio and Maria |
|
|
Elena Alvarado, Ms. Alvarado has earned the respect and admiration |
|
|
of her teachers and classmates at Trimble Tech, and her exceptional |
|
|
scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have |
|
|
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young |
|
|
Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Karla Alvarado on being named |
|
|
valedictorian of the Trimble Technical School Class of 2013 and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter in her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Alvarado as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
