R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Audrey Claire
  Rhynerson, a bright and energetic eighth-grade public school
  student, decided, on her own volition, to forgo a typical
  eighth-grader's "fun in the sun" spring break when she sought to
  learn more about the legislative process and Texas history by
  volunteering in a state legislative office; and
         WHEREAS, Audrey's desire to increase her understanding of the
  workings of state government was piqued during a trip to the Texas
  Capitol that she organized for her fellow scouts in Troop No. 292 in
  2008; the visit enabled each of the girls to earn a model citizen
  badge; and
         WHEREAS, Hoping to one day attend law school and become an
  elected official herself, Audrey contacted the office of State
  Representative Four Price and communicated her wish to work at the
  Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Audrey volunteered each day during her spring break
  and ably assisted the representative's staff by performing a number
  of administrative and legislative tasks; in addition, she observed
  house committee proceedings, and she spent time with Representative
  Price on the house floor while the Texas House of Representatives
  was in session; and
         WHEREAS, With an avid appreciation for history and a genuine
  love of civics, Audrey is an outstanding scholar in her middle
  school; she has received a medal from Duke University in
  recognition of her high SAT scores and is a member of the National
  Honor Society; she is president of the student council and has also
  been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Teen
  Advisory Board, and the French Club, and she participates in
  orchestra, dance, and theater performances; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Delores and Kyle
  Rhynerson, this noteworthy young Texan is to be commended for her
  remarkable and extraordinary love of her state and country, and she
  is indeed deserving of special recognition for the exemplary manner
  in which she carried out her assignments in the office of
  Representative Price; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Audrey Rhynerson for her dedicated
  volunteerism in the office of State Representative Four Price and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Audrey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
