R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Jamie Kings of |
|
Travis County has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the |
|
office of State Representative Eric Johnson; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Kings has distinguished |
|
herself in a number of ways, and her enthusiasm, strong work ethic, |
|
and sense of responsibility have made her an irreplaceable asset; |
|
she has taken on extra duties and earned a reputation as a diligent |
|
coworker and trustworthy friend; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Shirley Kings and the late John |
|
Kings, Ms. Kings is a recent graduate of Durham University in |
|
England, where she received a master of arts degree in modern |
|
history; she also holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from |
|
American University; building on her education and experience, she |
|
has as her ultimate career goal to become a foreign service officer; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Jamie Kings has gained valuable knowledge of the |
|
governmental process and insight into the issues facing the Lone |
|
Star State, and her contributions are greatly appreciated; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Jamie Kings for her service as an intern |
|
in the office of State Representative Eric Johnson and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Kings as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
