R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Jamie Kings of
  Travis County has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the
  office of State Representative Eric Johnson; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Kings has distinguished
  herself in a number of ways, and her enthusiasm, strong work ethic,
  and sense of responsibility have made her an irreplaceable asset;
  she has taken on extra duties and earned a reputation as a diligent
  coworker and trustworthy friend; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Shirley Kings and the late John
  Kings, Ms. Kings is a recent graduate of Durham University in
  England, where she received a master of arts degree in modern
  history; she also holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from
  American University; building on her education and experience, she
  has as her ultimate career goal to become a foreign service officer;
  and
         WHEREAS, Jamie Kings has gained valuable knowledge of the
  governmental process and insight into the issues facing the Lone
  Star State, and her contributions are greatly appreciated; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Jamie Kings for her service as an intern
  in the office of State Representative Eric Johnson and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Kings as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
