R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the Nolan Catholic High School boys and girls track |
|
|
teams won multiple team and individual awards at the TAPPS track and |
|
|
field state championships in Waco, these students are most |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for their outstanding |
|
|
performance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The boys track team took fourth; and individual |
|
|
state champions included Michael Batson in the 800M run, Barton |
|
|
Holdridge in the 400M run and Michael Hoffman in the high jump; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The girls track team took second; and individual |
|
|
state champions included Elizabeth Havenhill in the 800m run and |
|
|
Chelsea Classo in the 100M hurdles; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These talented students will undoubtedly continue |
|
|
to represent Nolan Catholic High School with dignity and class as |
|
|
they pursue additional achievements; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Placing at a state championship is the goal of all |
|
|
student-athletes, these young men and women may take great pride in |
|
|
their state championship victories for years to come, drawing |
|
|
inspiration from their accomplishments as they undertake future |
|
|
challenges; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Nolan Catholic High School boys |
|
|
and girls track teams for their impressive performance at the 2013 |
|
|
TAPPS state track and field championships and extend best wishes to |
|
|
them for continued success in all their endeavors; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Nolan Catholic High School as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
