R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas |
|
|
is pleased to recognize the Eastern Hills High School chess team, |
|
|
which recently came in first place at the Fort Worth ISD Spring |
|
|
Chess Championship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the last few months, these young men and women |
|
|
have spent countless hours in practice, improving with each game |
|
|
they played; under the leadership of their chess coach, they have |
|
|
developed the skills which have allowed them to excel as a team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Team members Guilherme Olivera Agustini, Antonio |
|
|
Lockleair, Isabel Blankenship, Tam Tran, and Isaac Guardado placed |
|
|
for individual achievement; the entire team demonstrated superior |
|
|
talent and perseverance, and they deserve to be proud of their |
|
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, |
|
|
That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend the members of the Eastern Hills High |
|
|
School chess team for their exceptional skills and extend |
|
|
congratulations to them for their admirable achievements at the |
|
|
Fort Worth Independent School District Spring Chess Championship; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
