R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Darien Tennon of Trimble Technical High School in |
|
|
Fort Worth won the gold medal in the Class 4A Boy's 300 meter at the |
|
|
2013 UIL state track and field championships in Austin, and he is |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his outstanding performance; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This talented teen has received a full track |
|
|
scholarship to Texas Tech University where he will undoubtedly |
|
|
represent the Bulldogs with dignity and class; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Medaling at a state championship is the goal of all |
|
|
student-athletes, and Mr. Tennon may take great pride in his gold |
|
|
medal win at a state championship for years to come, drawing |
|
|
inspiration from his accomplishments as he undertakes future |
|
|
challenges; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Darien Tennon for his impressive |
|
|
performance at the 2013 U |
|
|
IL state track and field championships and |
|
|
extend best wishes to him for continued success in all his |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Tennon as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
