R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ida Mingo, student at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High |
|
|
School, wrote and inspired the theatrical production, |
|
|
"Breakthrough" and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The student-produced act took place Friday, May |
|
|
24th, 2013 to a community audience in the Dunbar High School |
|
|
Auditorium where all proceeds gained will be donated to the |
|
|
Foundation for Hope and Healing, a local organization that provides |
|
|
relief to those diagnosed with chronic illness; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, "Breakthrough" is a theatrical production that is |
|
|
completely student driven from the writing, acting, directing, to |
|
|
the designing and technical crew; every aspect of this production |
|
|
has been organized by Dunbar students thriving to create art while |
|
|
simultaneously giving back to the community; now therefore be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ida Mingo, writer of the production |
|
|
"Breakthrough" at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Mingo as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
