R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Steve Maxwell has served with distinction as |
|
|
Chairman of the Tarrant County Democratic Party for over five |
|
|
years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Steve Maxwell has led party efforts to elect the |
|
|
first African-American Congressman in Tarrant County, the |
|
|
successful re-election of the Democratic State Senator and numerous |
|
|
other b |
|
|
attleground races; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity |
|
|
to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy |
|
|
toward promoting the Democratic Party goals of representing the |
|
|
interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities, |
|
|
and advancing a more inclusive society; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Steve Maxwell on his service as Chairman |
|
|
of the Tarrant County Democratic Party and extend to this dedicated |
|
|
community leader sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Maxwell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
