R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cecilia Garcia Wofford is retiring from Almeda |
|
|
Elementary School in Houston on May 31, 2013, drawing to a close a |
|
|
notable tenure in education that has spanned two decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Wofford has demonstrated an outstanding |
|
|
commitment to excellence in performing her many responsibilities as |
|
|
a clerk; her abilities as a bilingual speaker have made her an |
|
|
invaluable asset in the language proficiency testing program, and |
|
|
she has further contributed to the school through her work as a |
|
|
student incentive and charity coordinator and as assistant to the |
|
|
registrar; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Ms. Wofford enjoys the love |
|
|
and support of her husband, Wes, and her daughter, Valerie; |
|
|
following her retirement, she plans to travel and spend time with |
|
|
family and friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cecilia Wofford has greatly benefited the Houston |
|
|
Independent School District through her dedicated and enthusiastic |
|
|
service, and she will be missed by all those who have had the |
|
|
pleasure of working with her; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cecilia Garcia Wofford on her |
|
|
retirement from Almeda Elementary School and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wofford as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
