R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Jaylea Leatherman of Sanford-Fritch High School |
|
|
earned second place in computer applications for division 2A at the |
|
|
2013 University Interscholastic League Academic State Meet in |
|
|
Austin on May 20-22, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Representing her school at the 2013 UIL District |
|
|
Meet, she excelled in competition and qualified to advance to |
|
|
regionals, where she again took high honors; she subsequently made |
|
|
her school proud at the state meet, squaring off against the best |
|
|
young Texans in her field; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To perform at such a level in statewide academic |
|
|
competition requires not only skill and intellect but also |
|
|
exceptional dedication, and Ms. Leatherman may reflect with pride |
|
|
on this notable achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Jaylea Leatherman for her outstanding |
|
|
performance at the 2013 UIL Academic State Meet and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Leatherman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
