R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
  decades, the Honorable James Ray Gayle III and Nancy Gayle of
  Angleton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on May 26,
  2013; and
         WHEREAS, J. Ray Gayle and the former Nancy Nelson exchanged
  the vows of matrimony at Northway Christian Church in Dallas on that
  special day in 1963, and over the course of their marriage, they
  have found in each other a devoted life partner; today, they count
  among their blessings a fine family that includes a daughter,
  Shannon Gayle Sebesta and her husband, Judge Patrick Sebesta, a
  son, James R. "Chip" Gayle IV and his wife, Parrish Gayle, as well
  as six grandchildren, Patrick, William, Christopher, Annabelle,
  and John Sebesta and Jessica Gayle; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Judge Gayle is
  a member of the Angleton Noon Lions Club, while Mrs. Gayle is a
  member of the Women's Study Club of Angleton, and they are both
  active in numerous other organizations in Brazoria County as well;
  Mrs. Gayle, a former American Airlines stewardess, is a talented
  artist, and one of her paintings is in the Ronald Reagan
  Presidential Foundation and Library; Judge Gayle is retired from
  the 239th Judicial District Court of Brazoria County and has served
  as a senior district judge; in 2006, he joined the firm of Gilbert &
  Gilbert, where his practice is focused on complex litigation; and
         WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, J. Ray
  Gayle and Nancy Gayle can savor a wealth of cherished family
  memories and know that the strength of their love and commitment
  ensures that many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Honorable J. Ray Gayle III and
  Nancy Gayle on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Judge Gayle and Mrs. Gayle as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
