R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
decades, the Honorable James Ray Gayle III and Nancy Gayle of |
|
Angleton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on May 26, |
|
2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, J. Ray Gayle and the former Nancy Nelson exchanged |
|
the vows of matrimony at Northway Christian Church in Dallas on that |
|
special day in 1963, and over the course of their marriage, they |
|
have found in each other a devoted life partner; today, they count |
|
among their blessings a fine family that includes a daughter, |
|
Shannon Gayle Sebesta and her husband, Judge Patrick Sebesta, a |
|
son, James R. "Chip" Gayle IV and his wife, Parrish Gayle, as well |
|
as six grandchildren, Patrick, William, Christopher, Annabelle, |
|
and John Sebesta and Jessica Gayle; and |
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Judge Gayle is |
|
a member of the Angleton Noon Lions Club, while Mrs. Gayle is a |
|
member of the Women's Study Club of Angleton, and they are both |
|
active in numerous other organizations in Brazoria County as well; |
|
Mrs. Gayle, a former American Airlines stewardess, is a talented |
|
artist, and one of her paintings is in the Ronald Reagan |
|
Presidential Foundation and Library; Judge Gayle is retired from |
|
the 239th Judicial District Court of Brazoria County and has served |
|
as a senior district judge; in 2006, he joined the firm of Gilbert & |
|
Gilbert, where his practice is focused on complex litigation; and |
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, J. Ray |
|
Gayle and Nancy Gayle can savor a wealth of cherished family |
|
memories and know that the strength of their love and commitment |
|
ensures that many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Honorable J. Ray Gayle III and |
|
Nancy Gayle on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Judge Gayle and Mrs. Gayle as an expression of high |
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
