R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Madeline Hazle is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
the Kingwood High School Class of 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, |
|
Ms. Hazle demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of |
|
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to |
|
her studies are myriad; a member of the National Honor Society and |
|
the Spanish National Honor Society, Ms. Hazle has also earned |
|
recognition as a Commended National Merit Scholar and an AP Scholar |
|
with Honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Hazle further distinguished herself as a |
|
talented athlete on the Kingwood swim team; she placed in the top |
|
eight in her individual events at the state meet for four |
|
consecutive years, and she participated on four relay teams that |
|
won state championships; named to the Academic All-State team, she |
|
was selected as an All-American each year throughout her high |
|
school career; she has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete |
|
for the women's swim program at the University of Wisconsin, where |
|
she plans to take premed courses; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Deb and John Hazle, |
|
Madeline Hazle has earned the respect and admiration of her |
|
teachers and classmates at Kingwood High School, and her |
|
exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to |
|
excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this |
|
remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Madeline Hazle, salutatorian of |
|
the Kingwood High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Hazle as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
