R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Shantal Ortega |
|
|
has ably served her fellow Texans as a legislative aide in the |
|
|
office of State Representative R.D. "Bobby" Guerra; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Ortega has contributed |
|
|
to the workings of state government firsthand; in addition to |
|
|
learning more about the legislative process and issues facing |
|
|
citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable work |
|
|
experience in the field of public service; her responsibilities in |
|
|
Representative Guerra's office have included performing research, |
|
|
handling constituent contact activities, and managing the office |
|
|
schedule; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Morayma Munoz, Shantal Ortega is a |
|
|
senior at Texas Tech University and is currently pursuing a |
|
|
Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in |
|
|
History. Ms. Ortega would like to pursue a career in the legal |
|
|
field and hopes to enter law school in the fall of 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan is an outstanding |
|
|
student who has performed her duties as a legislative intern with |
|
|
skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special |
|
|
recognition for her work and achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Shantal Ortega for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative R.D. "Bobby" |
|
|
Guerra and congratulate her on her hard work in pursuit of a |
|
|
Bachelor of Science degree at Texas Tech University; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Corona as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
