R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Kellean |
|
|
Travillion has ably served her fellow Texans as a legislative aide |
|
|
in the office of State Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Travillion has |
|
|
contributed to the workings of state government firsthand; in |
|
|
addition to learning more about the legislative process and issues |
|
|
facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable work |
|
|
experience in the field of public service; her responsibilities in |
|
|
Representative Guerra's office have included performing research, |
|
|
handling constituent contact activities, and managing the |
|
|
resolution division of the office; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Kimberly and Duple' Travillion, |
|
|
Kellean Travillion is a junior at Middle Tennessee State University |
|
|
in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and is currently pursuing a bachelor's |
|
|
degree in political science with a minor in political and civil |
|
|
engagement; chosen by State Senator Rodney Ellis to participate in |
|
|
the Texas Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Travillion has been |
|
|
an instrumental asset; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy young honorary Texan is an |
|
|
outstanding student who has performed her duties as a legislative |
|
|
intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for her work and achievements; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Kellean Travillion for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative R. D. |
|
|
"Bobby" Guerra and congratulate her on her hard work in pursuit of a |
|
|
bachelor's degree at Middle Tennessee State University; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Travillion as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
