R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Hilda Salinas was reelected to the McAllen Board of |
|
|
Commissioners for District 3 on May 11, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Along with the mayor, the McAllen city commission is |
|
|
responsible for setting city policy, approving the annual budget, |
|
|
adopting city ordinances, and determining the tax rates; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Her hard work and expertise in a wide range of |
|
|
community issues have earned Ms. Salinas the respect of the voters |
|
|
in District 3, and it is most fitting to take this opportunity to |
|
|
honor her; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Hilda Salinas for winning |
|
|
reelection to the McAllen Board of Commissioners and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success in her important work; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Salinas as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
