R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 101st birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |
|
|
cause for celebration, and Angelita Rodriguez of Edinburg |
|
|
commemorated this special milestone on April 24, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, From the Great Depression and World War II to the |
|
|
dawn of the space age and the invention of the Internet, Mrs. |
|
|
Rodriguez has lived through an array of historic events and |
|
|
witnessed remarkable changes and marvels since her birth in 1912; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A source of wisdom and joy, she has brightened many |
|
|
lives over the years, and she is deeply cherished by her friends and |
|
|
family; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Angelita Rodriguez is an inspiration to all who have |
|
|
the good fortune to know her, and her 101st birthday offers a |
|
|
welcome opportunity to remind her of the special place she holds in |
|
|
the hearts of her loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Angelita Rodriguez on her 101st |
|
|
birthday and extend to her heartfelt best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
