R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Victor A. Shelton of Frisco, who passed away on April 11, 2013,
  at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Montie and Victor Logan Shelton, Victor
  Shelton was born on October 25, 1927, in Hedley; he graduated from
  West Texas A&M University in Canyon, earning his master's degree,
  and enjoyed a career as an elementary school teacher; from 1952
  until 1956, he served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Air
  Force; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Shelton shared six rewarding decades of marriage
  with his wife, Helen, before her passing; they were devoted parents
  to their three children, Cynthia, Terri, and Tracy, and over the
  years, their family grew to include six grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren; together, the couple were valued congregants
  at First Baptist Church of Frisco; and
         WHEREAS, Victor Shelton lived a caring and purposeful life,
  and all those who had the good fortune to share in his love and
  friendship will forever carry him close to their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Victor A. Shelton
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  children, Cynthia Whitehead and her husband, Steve, Terri Lee
  Hartle and her husband, Arthur, and Tracy Paul Shelton and his wife,
  Tammie; to his grandchildren, Jennifer McCord, Lindsey McCord,
  Holley Wakefield, Brad Shelton, Paul Whitehead, and Whitney
  Whitehead; to his great-grandchildren, Alaina Whitehead and Austin
  Wakefield; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Victor
  Shelton.
