R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Scott Stribling won election to Place 1 on the
  Georgetown Independent School District Board of Trustees on May 11,
  2013; and
         WHEREAS, In his new role, Mr. Stribling joins the governing
  body of Georgetown public schools, where he will lend his insight to
  the tasks of establishing goals and rendering decisions that affect
  area students, educators, and administrators; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Stribling earned a degree in communications at
  Texas A&M University; he is a partner in the Georgetown real estate
  firm of Century 21 HSK & Associates, and he brings a strong
  background in real estate, construction, and budget management to
  his new responsibilities of overseeing a growing district; and
         WHEREAS, The father of three currently enrolled students, Mr.
  Stribling has a strong stake in the Georgetown school system; he has
  given generously of his time with Watch D.O.G.S., an initiative
  through which fathers work to create a more safe and secure
  environment for students, and also served as secretary-treasurer of
  the citizens committee that advised the district on a crucial tax
  increase in 2012; and
         WHEREAS, By endeavoring to sustain and build on Georgetown
  ISD's record of success, Scott Stribling is demonstrating a notable
  commitment to ensuring an exemplary education for area students,
  and in so doing, he is performing a vital public service to his
  community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Scott Stribling on his election to
  the Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for success with his important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Stribling as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
