R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Andy Webb won election to Place 3 on the Georgetown
  Independent School District Board of Trustees on May 11, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, In his new role, Mr. Webb joins the governing body of
  Georgetown public schools, where he will lend his insight to the
  task of establishing goals and rendering decisions that affect area
  students, educators, and administrators; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Webb holds a bachelor's degree in leadership
  development from Texas A&M University; a partner with Watkins
  Insurance Group, he has served as chair of the Young Agents Advisory
  Council for the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and as a
  member of the state board of directors for its political action
  committee; recently, the group recognized him as the Andre P.
  Juneau Young Agent of the Year; and
         WHEREAS, The father of two Georgetown ISD students, Mr. Webb
  has channeled his interest in creating a safe and secure learning
  environment for his children through his service as a volunteer for
  Watch D.O.G.S. at Village Elementary School; he also twice acted as
  a campus coordinator for Take Your Dad to School Day and served on
  the citizens committee that advised the district on a crucial tax
  increase in 2012; and
         WHEREAS, Active in numerous other community endeavors, he is
  a current member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Board of
  Directors as well as chair of its Leadership Round Rock program; Mr.
  Webb additionally holds seats on the boards of the Williamson
  County A&M Club and Foundation and the CHASCO Family YMCA, and he
  has coached and mentored several successful youth baseball teams
  since 2006; and
         WHEREAS, This notable Texan has distinguished himself
  through his civic engagement, and the dedication and leadership
  ability that he has demonstrated are certain to be of great benefit
  as he works to build on the strong academic reputation of Georgetown
  schools; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Andy Webb on his election to the
  Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for success with his important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Webb as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
