R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Victoria Ho is graduating as the salutatorian of the
  senior class of Sharpstown High School in Houston on June 9, 2013;
  and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction,
  Ms. Ho demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
  subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to
  her studies are myriad; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Ho has further distinguished herself through her
  multiple extracurricular activities; she is a member of the
  National Honor Society and has been a public affairs officer,
  physical training commander, and color guard co-commander with
  JROTC, which has recognized her as Cadet of the Year, Distinguished
  Cadet, and Superior Instructor; answering her country's call to
  duty, she plans to enlist in the United States Air Force following
  graduation and begin pre-med studies while serving; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Victoria Ho has
  earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at
  Sharpstown High, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work,
  and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
  opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Victoria Ho, salutatorian of the
  Sharpstown High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting
  chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Ho as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
