R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lee M. Kleinman was elected to represent District 11 |
|
|
on the Dallas City Council in May 2013, and he brings a wealth of |
|
|
valuable experience to his new office; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This accomplished Texan earned his bachelor's |
|
|
degree from Pitzer College and his master's degree from the Cox |
|
|
School of Business at Southern Methodist University; during his |
|
|
successful career managing high-growth and start-up companies, he |
|
|
has served as vice president of FootAction USA, vice president and |
|
|
principal of the ProSoft Corporation, and OEM business manager at |
|
|
the Brightpoint Corporation, in addition to holding a number of |
|
|
other posts; currently, he is the chief operating officer and a |
|
|
principal of Bridge Metrics, LLC; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Councilman Kleinman possesses a keen understanding |
|
|
of public service, having previously been a member of the board of |
|
|
the Dallas Park and Recreation Department for six years; moreover, |
|
|
he has long been active in his community as a member of such |
|
|
organizations as the Dallas Zoological Society, the Dallas Zoo Long |
|
|
Range Planning Committee, the Dallas Bicycle Plan Steering |
|
|
Committee, the Greenhill School Capital Campaign Committee, the |
|
|
North Texas Crime Commission, and Temple Emanu-El; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Public servants play an essential role in helping |
|
|
communities prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the |
|
|
future, and Lee Kleinman's leadership and insight are sure to be of |
|
|
great benefit to the citizens of Dallas in the years ahead; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lee Kleinman on his election to the |
|
|
Dallas City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
success in serving his constituents; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Kleinman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
