R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Brayton Hendricks of Groom High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by taking part in the 2013 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet in the 1A Division 2 |
|
|
pole vault event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top competitors in Texas at Mike |
|
|
A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10, Mr. Hendricks turned in the |
|
|
best performance of his high school career; he cleared 12 feet, 6 |
|
|
inches, to earn fourth place and came very close to claiming the |
|
|
bronze medal; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Brayton Hendricks has ably |
|
|
represented his school, and he may cherish his memory of this |
|
|
accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Brayton Hendricks on his |
|
|
fourth-place finish in the 1A Division 2 pole vault competition at |
|
|
the UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Hendricks as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
