R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Grayson Gonzales of Stratford High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by participating in the 2013 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet in the 1A Division 1 |
|
|
800-meter run; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top competitors in Texas at Mike |
|
|
A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 11, Mr. Gonzales recorded a time |
|
|
of 2 minutes, 2.45 seconds, to finish in fifth place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's |
|
|
premier showcase for high school track and field athletes, Grayson |
|
|
Gonzales has ably represented his school, and he may cherish his |
|
|
memories of this notable accomplishment for years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Grayson Gonzales on taking part in |
|
|
the 1A Division 1 800-meter run at the UIL Track & Field State Meet |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gonzales as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
