R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Casey Grange of White Deer High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by taking part in the 2013 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet in the 1A Division 1 |
|
|
high jump event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top competitors in Texas at Mike A. |
|
|
Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10, Mr. Grange turned in a notable |
|
|
performance; he reached a height of 6 feet, 2 inches, to earn fourth |
|
|
place and came very close to claiming a spot on the podium; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Casey Grange has ably |
|
|
represented his school, and he may cherish his memories of this |
|
|
notable accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Casey Grange on his fourth-place |
|
|
finish in the 1A Division 1 high jump competition at the UIL Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Grange as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
