R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The girls' 4 x 200-meter relay team from Panhandle |
|
|
High School achieved great distinction by winning the 1A Division 1 |
|
|
silver medal at the University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet on May 11, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Team members Tess Rusk, Jordan Molnar, Aisia Bonner, |
|
|
and Kenzy Cates turned in a remarkable performance against the top |
|
|
competitors in the state, finishing with a time of 1 minute, 45.61 |
|
|
seconds, to claim second place in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With their exceptional demonstration of speed and |
|
|
determination, these talented student-athletes have become a |
|
|
source of pride for their families and school, and they will cherish |
|
|
their memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to |
|
|
come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Panhandle High School girls' 4 |
|
|
x 200-meter relay team on its second-place finish in the 1A Division |
|
|
1 event at the UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to the runners |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
