R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Tanner Barnett of Panhandle High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by winning the 1A Division 1 bronze medal in the |
|
|
discus at the University Interscholastic League Track & Field State |
|
|
Meet on May 11, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Facing the top competitors in the state, Mr. Barnett |
|
|
turned in a remarkable performance, recording a distance of 162 |
|
|
feet, 9 inches, to claim third place in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Tanner Barnett has become a |
|
|
source of pride for his family and school, and he will cherish his |
|
|
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tanner Barnett on his third-place |
|
|
finish in the 1A Division 1 discus at the UIL Track & Field State |
|
|
Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Barnett as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
