R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Shaleigh Price of Panhandle High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by winning the 1A Division 1 gold medal in the |
|
|
shot put at the University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet on May 10, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Facing the top competitors in the state, Ms. Price |
|
|
turned in a remarkable performance, recording a distance of 40 |
|
|
feet, 0 inches, to become the state champion in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Shaleigh Price has become a |
|
|
source of pride for her family and school, and she will cherish her |
|
|
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Shaleigh Price on winning the 1A |
|
|
Division 1 title in the shot put at the UIL Track & Field State Meet |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Price as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
