R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Celeste Martinez is graduating as the valedictorian |
|
|
of the senior class of Robstown High School in 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Martinez has demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with English |
|
|
and band being among her favorites; in addition, she participated |
|
|
in numerous extracurricular activities, including the National |
|
|
Honor Society, SkillsUSA, and University Interscholastic League |
|
|
contests; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Cirildo and Annette |
|
|
Martinez, Ms. Martinez plans to continue her education at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin and to pursue a degree in biomedical |
|
|
engineering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Celeste Martinez |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
|
classmates at Robstown High School, and her exceptional scholastic |
|
|
ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have opened the |
|
|
way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Celeste Martinez, valedictorian of |
|
|
the Robstown High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
