R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Dara Ifé
  Rattley Johnson has ably served in the office of State
  Representative Armando Lucio Walle through the Texas Legislative
  Internship Program; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Johnson drew on her considerable experience
  from previous roles with the Africa-America Institute,
  U.S. Congressman James Clyburn of South Carolina, the U.S. House
  Democratic Caucus, and the Congressional Hunger Center; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Johnson recently graduated with honors from
  Nyack College with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology;
  Ms. Johnson worked tirelessly for Representative Walle to research
  and analyze legislation related to workforce conditions, workers' 
  rights, criminal justice, quality of life, and other issues vital
  to the people of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Passionate about helping vulnerable populations
  overcome challenges, Ms. Johnson has volunteered extensively in
  New York and Central America, and she plans to pursue a career in
  public policy, advocacy, or direct social service; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Hugh and Patricia Johnson and a
  native of Washington, D.C., Ms. Johnson is described by her friends
  as a hip-hop enthusiast, animal lover, and advocate for the
  holistic virtues of apple cider vinegar;
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young woman has performed her
  duties as a legislative assistant with skill and dedication, and
  she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Dara Ifé Rattley Johnson for her
  exemplary service as a legislative assistant in the office of S
  tate
  Representative Armando Walle and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
