R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Wells Fargo Advisors Complex of East Texas is |
|
organizing its fourth annual care package program, Operation |
|
American Pride, to benefit United States military personnel across |
|
the world; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 2010, Operation American Pride |
|
collects a variety of goods and treats, packages them, and sends |
|
them to members of the U.S. armed forces through USO Fort Hood; the |
|
initiative is overseen by Greg Strnadel, the senior vice president |
|
and Wells Fargo complex manager for the cities of Tyler, Longview, |
|
Kilgore, Texarkana, and College Station; thousands of packages have |
|
been delivered through this patriotic endeavor, which has now |
|
expanded into Arkansas; and |
|
WHEREAS, In addition to this worthy project, the Wells Fargo |
|
Advisors actively support many other charitable causes such as the |
|
Salvation Army's Fans for Life campaign, the Texas Ramp Project, |
|
the Boys and Girls Club, and the Boy Scouts of America; and |
|
WHEREAS, For the past three years, the Operation American |
|
Pride campaign has brought immeasurable comfort and happiness to |
|
those selfless individuals who risk so much to ensure our freedom; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Greg Strnadel and the Wells Fargo Advisors |
|
for their support of our brave troops abroad and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success with their important |
|
initiative; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Strnadel and the Wells Fargo Advisors as an |
|
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
