R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cynthia O'Neill of Cheatham Elementary School has |
|
|
been named the 2012-2013 Allen Independent School District |
|
|
Elementary Teacher of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chosen from a field of 22 campus teachers of the |
|
|
year, Ms. O'Neill will represent the Allen Independent School |
|
|
District in the Texas Teacher of the Year competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. O'Neill has taught fifth-grade science and |
|
|
mathematics for Allen ISD since 2004, and she was a charter member |
|
|
of the Cheatham staff when the school opened its doors in 2010; |
|
|
before her tenure in Allen, she taught in the Richardson and Dallas |
|
|
Independent School Districts, and she has been working in the |
|
|
profession for the past 12 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Serving as role models, motivators, listeners, and |
|
|
mentors, the best educators bring to the classroom creativity, |
|
|
energy, and resourcefulness; Cynthia O'Neill is one such teacher, |
|
|
inspiring in her students a love of learning that will serve them |
|
|
well throughout their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia O'Neill on her selection as |
|
|
the 2012-2013 Allen ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. O'Neill as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
