SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 52
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of Howard Jacobs, who died January 4, 2013, |
|
at the age of 72; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Jacobs was born December 14, 1940; he served |
|
in the United States Air Force and in the civil service for many |
|
years and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was a longtime member of the Ancient Free and |
|
Accepted Masons and was a 33rd degree Mason with Kelly Lodge 1131 |
|
and Somerset Lodge 1205; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he |
|
gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued |
|
counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and |
|
grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured |
|
forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the |
|
bereaved family of Howard Jacobs: his wife, Carol Lee; his |
|
children, Robert Earl, Penny Lee, Jodi Elaine, and Edward Howard; |
|
his siblings; and his 10 grandchildren and eight |
|
great-grandchildren; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Howard Jacobs. |
