SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 166
         WHEREAS, Members of the Fayette County Leadership class
  are visiting the State Capitol February 14 and 15, 2013, to gain
  further insight into the workings of state government; and
 
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by the La Grange Area Chamber of
  Commerce, this biennial program provides opportunities for
  participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues
  and to visit with the leaders who are making decisions that
  affect area residents; and
 
         WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and cover
  such topics as county government, city utilities, education,
  tourism, and agriculture; many graduates of the program have gone
  on to establish their own companies and nonprofit organizations,
  enter local politics, and become influential members of the
  business community; and
 
         WHEREAS, Endeavoring to build a more informed and involved
  citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership Fayette County
  is helping to build a brighter and more promising future for the
  Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby commend Leadership Fayette County and  
  extend to all participants sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Leadership Fayette County as an expression of esteem from the
  Texas Senate.
