James Richelieu Cumby, Jr. |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
|
citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of |
|
|
James Richelieu Cumby, Jr., who died January 28, 2013, at the |
|
|
age of 88; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, James Cumby was born January 25, 1925, to Gladys |
|
|
and James R. Cumby, Sr.; he was married to Lois Goodspeed Cumby, |
|
|
who preceded him in death; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, A longtime Fort Worth resident, Mr. Cumby served as |
|
|
mailroom supervisor at Continental National Bank for 50 years; he |
|
|
also worked for 45 years at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman who was devoted to |
|
|
his family and friends; a generous, kindhearted person, he was |
|
|
respected in the community for his accomplishments; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, James Cumby was a man of deep faith, integrity, |
|
|
and strength, and he will long be remembered with affection and |
|
|
appreciation by all who were privileged to share in his life; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |

|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the |
|
|
bereaved family of James Richelieu Cumby, Jr.; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the |
|
|
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do |
|
|
so in memory of James Cumby. |
