SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 245
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  James Richelieu Cumby, Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of
  James Richelieu Cumby, Jr., who died January 28, 2013, at the
  age of 88; and
 
         WHEREAS, James Cumby was born January 25, 1925, to Gladys
  and James R. Cumby, Sr.; he was married to Lois Goodspeed Cumby,
  who preceded him in death; and
 
         WHEREAS, A longtime Fort Worth resident, Mr. Cumby served as
  mailroom supervisor at Continental National Bank for 50 years; he
  also worked for 45 years at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce; and
 
         WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman who was devoted to
  his family and friends; a generous, kindhearted person, he was
  respected in the community for his accomplishments; and
 
         WHEREAS, James Cumby was a man of deep faith, integrity,
  and strength, and he will long be remembered with affection and
  appreciation by all who were privileged to share in his life;
  now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
  bereaved family of James Richelieu Cumby, Jr.; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of James Cumby.
