SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 412
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of young professionals organizations from |
|
|
across the state are gathering in Austin on March 6, 2013, to gain |
|
|
further insight into the workings of state government; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Young professionals are one of the Lone Star State's |
|
|
most important resources, contributing greatly to the economic |
|
|
prosperity of present and future generations; groups such as those |
|
|
in attendance today allow emerging leaders to network, learn from |
|
|
one another, and develop vital career skills; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, With the 83rd Legislative Session well under way, |
|
|
the Capitol is a source of great activity, offering visitors an |
|
|
excellent opportunity to see their state government in action; the |
|
|
civic-minded young Texans here today have demonstrated commendable |
|
|
initiative and enthusiasm about the democratic process, which will |
|
|
serve them well throughout the coming years; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, By striving to strengthen their professional ties |
|
|
and build on their knowledge about state government, these |
|
|
dynamic young Texans are helping to create a brighter and more |
|
|
promising future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby recognize March 6, 2013, as Young |
|
|
Professionals Day at the State Capitol and extend to all those |
|
|
visiting sincere best wishes for a memorable and productive day |
|
|
in Austin. |
