SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 441

WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Roy Dale and MaryBeth Messer placed great faith and trust in one another, and they have been amply rewarded, as they are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Roy Dale Messer and MaryBeth Gottschlich were married 25 years ago in Canyon, at the home of the president of West Texas State University; the bride wore a special gown made by her grandmother and mother; and

WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Messer have continued to cherish traditional family values; over the years, they have grown stronger in their love and devotion to one another as together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Messer have been blessed with a wonderful family; their children, John Wayne, James Robert, Roy Henry, Victoria Rose, and Clinton Wright, along with their grandchildren, John William and Jameson Wayne, have been a source of much pride and joy; and

WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Messer is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Roy Dale and MaryBeth Messer on their 25th wedding anniversary; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this distinguished couple as a memento of this milestone in their lives.
